Team & expertise

Because each project may call on different skills, NOLA ECO CONTINUUM relies on independent collaborators with complementary expertise, brought in according to needs.

Portrait of Sophie, French Sign Language interpreter

Sophie

French Sign Language interpreting

Her background

A professional French Sign Language interpreter and CODA, Sophie grew up with Deaf parents, in an environment where sign language and Deaf culture were naturally part of her daily life.

This dual, bilingual and bicultural background now nourishes an interpreting practice that is at once precise, dynamic and particularly attentive to the subtleties of every exchange.

Why this collaboration?

Over several years and across many contexts such as seminars, companies, non-profits or professional meetings, the finesse of her interpreting particularly won me over.

Sophie does not simply relay my words: when she lends me her voice, she knows how to convey its intention, rhythm, intonation and emotional nuances. This accuracy contributes directly to the quality of my exchanges and to the attention paid by the people I speak with.

My choice to work with her rests on an experience built over the years, but also on the trust, the fluidity and the consistent quality of our collaboration.

Portrait of Nolwenn, actress and signer

Nolwenn

LSF · International Sign communication · audiovisual content

Her background

A Deaf woman and signer, Nolwenn comes from a family with several generations of Deaf people. Sign language and Deaf culture are therefore part of her family history as much as of her own path.

Since childhood, she has developed a genuine passion for dance, sign-singing (chansigne) and artistic expression, with the dream of one day becoming an artist and actress.

Twenty years later, this vocation has become her profession. Now a qualified professional actress, she takes part in various projects and performs roles in professional and artistic settings, including with organizations of international scope.

Her role within Nola Eco Continuum projects

Nolwenn contributes in particular to communication in LSF and in International Sign, to audiovisual content and to outreach to Deaf and hard-of-hearing signing audiences.

Her experience, her artistic eye and her deeply rooted knowledge of Deaf culture make up an especially valuable expertise for designing content able to address the relevant audiences with accuracy.

Why this collaboration?

My choice naturally turned to Nolwenn for this twofold richness: a Deaf culture deeply rooted in her path and a professional experience built around expression, the stage and the image.

This complementarity matches directly the ambition of the projects I wish to develop: creating accessible content without losing the human, cultural and expressive dimension of sign language.
